I love how often Cynthia Nixon is sporting what I can only call a Chic Wine Bag – she wore one to the Emmys, as well – in part because she's one of the few people who I think can truly pull off the Chic Wine Bag. And something about this photo is delightful; Streep The Younger looks very cool and also super SUPER confident about that double-sided tape, Denée Benton looks like she's popping by on her way home from a formal Halloween party where she decided to look extra hot because her ex was going to be there (she had little vampire fangs in for the party that she took out in the cab over), and Cynthia Nixon looks like their proud aunt, who just got home from the fundraising gala she chaired that raised a record amount of money for an iconic ceramics museum.
This is, I suppose, extra apt given that Nixon DOES play Louisa Jacobson's aunt on The Gilded Age and she certainly does have Beloved Aunt Energy.
