Cynthia Erivo spent much of her awards season circuit wearing very large and dramatic gowns, which was much appreciated by those of us who live for a Big Dress — but I also cannot blame her for shifting back into something that needs less wrangling now that the Oscars are over. This color is great on her, the cut is wholly reasonable, the lining situation continues to be…a situation, but complaining about that anymore is starting to feel like whinging about the fact that the sun still comes up, so overall: Let’s call this one a win.
