I know the Cake song is about a short SKIRT and a long jacket, but Cynthia Erivo’s short shorts fits the brief, too. This was a total scrolldown for me; love the idea of the suit, but the giant coat is extreme and then the booties feel like an afterthought. Imagine this with actual pants and a blazer that wasn’t made for an NBA star, and it’s already better. Fortunately for Cynthia, she’s naturally VERY sparkling and charismatic, so I can’t get too worked up about it — but if I were her styling team, I’d want this one back.
