I have no idea why Kristen Bell is hosting the CMT Awards, although I know she’s done it before, so it’s firmly in her wheelhouse at this point. I didn’t watch it — if I have to watch one more country music awards show this year, I will burst into flames, which is a sentiment that I think country musicians agreed with, as the turn-out for this thing was quite Zzzzz — but I feel confident that she would be a competent and likeable host, if a rather random choice. She also managed to turn herself out pretty well, although I got the impression that she might have watched Maleficent three times in a row before picking all of these out. Kristen, next time, wear the horns.
