Yes, yes — we’ve already seen Swinton very satisfyingly play a vampire. But I want to see her play this vampire, the one she’s currently dressed as. This vampire is 782 years old and currently vamping — in both senses of the word — her way through New York’s upper echelon, a tony socialite of sincerely indeterminate age with a scandalous amount of money and closets full of the good stuff. Eventually, of course, she will need to fake her own death for Manhattan because things will start to feel suspicious…but not before we find out that Anna Wintour is, of course, also an immortal.
