It’s interesting to me that Vogue did not really review this show, Jonathan Anderson’s first couture collection. They wrote about it, but not particularly critically — as least, not as of my typing this. They did note it was “cool” and the overall tone of that piece is positive but it also seems to be trying to avoid making a judgement call about the quality of the designs. Vogue, you’re dying on the vine right now — maybe having bold opinions again will buy you a few more years of public interest. Someone send Chloe Malle a DM.

Anyway! Women’s Wear Daily really got into it — as they should — and I learned something reading their piece:

Anderson is rolling out his line in three chapters: a runway segment, a private client event and a weeklong exhibition open to the general public — something like a one-man couture-a-palooza.

He opened the show with a trio of bulbous pleated dresses that referenced both his first ready-to-wear look for the house, and the sensual urns of Magdalene Odundo.

The Kenyan-born British artist collaborated with Anderson on several Lady Dior handbags included in the show, and her ceramics will be featured in the exhibition, alongside 15 looks from the spring 2026 collection and nine archival outfits by founder Christian Dior.

Interesting! The other good news is that brand ambassadors Greta Lee and Taylor Russell will certainly find something to please themselves herein.
