It seems Virginie Viard used elements of Hollywood in the Chanel show set, and said she designed the collection with the celebs in mind who wander around L.A. feeling the need to be photo-ready. I don’t generally see many of those people deploying Chanel for that purpose, but this collection does feel a touch more casual at times — and perhaps that’s every line’s true hat-tip to Covid: Without events, the sidewalk IS your red carpet.
