The designers who’ve come to L.A. for special-occasion shows get great celebrity turnouts. It’s a shame that no form of LA Fashion Week has ever managed to be alluring, because a lot of those smaller brands who are fighting for space in New York could probably woo a LOT of people out to the shows here, given that so many of them are local. The latest to take advantage of geography: Chanel, for its Cruise show, full of things that I assume they expect us all to wear when we go back on the floating virus barges and one of us gets pushed overboard.
