Brie Larson’s Chanel outfits did at least get progressively better as the festival went on; this is very simple, but so much better than the fusty old concoction she wore when it began. We also got a bit more Andie MacDowell, some Eva Longoria, a pop-in from Isabella Rossellini, and some great dramatic gowns to leave us with a sweet taste in our mouths. Thank you, Cannes! Now somebody PLEASE throw a lot of money at the writers so this town can go back to work.
