The Golden Globes kicked off 2020 with a flotilla of madness. We had a lot of major sleeves or sleeve-adjacent furbelows, some sheers, some SKIRTS, and whatever Jennifer Lopez’s bodice was. If you don’t see it here, then trust, it’ll appear in a slideshow later today — no grouping is without error — but let’s open this first Monday of the new decade with the very very biggest of the big sartorial statements.

It feels right that Beyonce would skip the red carpet, drop into her seat long enough to lose her category, and leave — and yet still go to all the trouble of THOSE SLEEVES. She is saying, “Fine, Elton, you have one Golden Globe, but I HAVE THESE TWO.”
