I am a sucker for a tapestry, and for a colorful jacket, so this is catnip to me. (Does anyone else wish we could see an entire SUIT in that material?) I obviously don’t know if that’s really the texture or if it’s just evocative, but my favorite part is that Bella’s face has always evoked for me the old Hans Holbein the Younger portraits of Henry VIII and Elizabeth I, which you’d see hanging on a palace wall next to a bunch of tapestries exactly like this. The vibes are vibing.

Isabela Merced went with something much more traditionally glam:

It does the patchy effect very well, and with her standing in front of the part of the poster with the birds flying away, they almost look like pieces that came off her dress and are floating away in the wind. It’s all very post-apocalyptic chic. Formal Derelicte. Crumbling Towards Ecstasy (why yes, Sarah McLachlan DID shuffle up on my iPod while I was cleaning today, why do you ask?).
