It wasn’t that Ariana didn’t do a good job as the Tony Awards host; it’s that the material for the opening — a specially written song — felt a little Bush League, and when it comes to hosting, three times in a row is not necessarily a charm. That said, I like this dress arguably better than anything she wore during her Oscar-winning awards season, so in that sense her stock has never been higher.
