The AFI announced its awards winners back in December, and simply postponed the party. Unlike the others, the nomination really is the win: They honored 10 movies and 10 TV shows without drilling down any more specifically than that, which probably makes it a much more relaxed atmosphere in which to pass the sourdough rolls and pretend the salmon is tasty.
