Anne Hathaway is a Bulgari ambassador, and presumably when they ask you to go to China to wear some bling, you do it. I didn’t have a picture of the dress from the front in full, but from the side you can see it’s one of those that doesn’t quite lie flat; I know there’s got to be something we can’t see that’s snugly covering her up, but I never quite understand the point of making a bodice that does this when there’s nothing ELSE interesting or sculptural about it. There isn’t a clear reason for the gimmick. But the fabric is lush, and there’s a whiff of Grace Kelly about it all that I like.
The necklace is… I’m sure it costs a small fortune, or even a large one, but it kinda looks like a novelty string of holiday lights that somebody tried to knot into a complex configuration. I’m sure Bulgari’s craftspeople would be thrilled to hear that take.
