I thought Kristen did a really nice, low-key job with this, attempting a brief monologue but also adding in a heartfelt message before shepherding the show along. Do I wish she’d hosted in clogs and a bad blouse as Eleanor Shellstrop, and brought along the rest of The Good Place cast, all in character? Yes. But presumably several of them were helping mourn the departure of Blake Bortles from the NFL post-season.
