This is not as big a hit for me as her last two awards gowns were — I think I’d rank the Emmys Calvin Klein first, then her Globes gown, then this one, and I actually like this less the longer I look at it. But she is the kind of person who can elevate almost anything, and that’s what is carrying the day.
