I cannot resist a polka dot, and therefore I am crazy about this:
And not only because it feels like the modern version of the dress Holly Hunter wears in Broadcast News, which, when I was in middle school, felt like the platonic ideal of all dresses everywhere. I might have worn another shoe. But that’s the small nitpick, a comment which doesn’t take away from my overall feeling of love, much in the way that I loathe Holly Hunter’s Jane Pauley hair at the end of the aforementioned Broadcast News, but I still adore that movie, to the point that sometimes when I am sad, I just watch this clip to feel better:
I cannot believe they managed to get that movie locked without someone making them cut that scene. It is such a throwaway moment. And yet it is perfect.
