I hope the PR person murmured, “I believe you have a common acquaintance,” before skittering away. Also: I truly wish I could have eyes on the texts Mindy Kaling sent to her friends. The PR peeps ABSOLUTELY thought, “Mindy will love this seat” every time they placed her at these shows, and that is why they are heroes. (Back in the day, there were times when I realized that whoever made a seating chart for a show I attended was thoughtful enough to put me, say, RIGHT BEHIND people I might want to eavesdrop on and although many years have passed, I still want to say: THANK YOU NYFW PR PEOPLE, and I hope you’re all taking a nap right now because you have to be tired.)
