How has Tina Turner not ALREADY been inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame? If it’s the Foo Fighters’ year this year, then her time should’ve come a decade ago at least, and certainly in a time when she was able to attend. In fact, The Go-Gos and Carole King also seem overdue. HMM. And Jay-Z got in this year in “Performer,” but LL Cool J was inducted as “Musical Excellence”? What… is the difference, exactly? Are they saying Jay-Z is not musically excellent but he can spit it on stage, or that LL Cool J is talented musically but a real dud live? That seems wrong on both counts. I wonder if having a few areas in which to induct people allows them to stretch the boundaries to get more celebs, and/or induct people more than once?
