A SCENE IN THE LIFE OF GFY HQ EAST:
JESSICA, scrolling through Instagram, sees a photo of Emma Stone in France, thinks, “wow, Emma Stone is wearing a lot of make-up in this shot; oh, this is her make-up artist’s Instagram, that makes sense.” Scrolls past Emma Stone to this photo of Madeline Brewer, thinks, “oh, this dress on Emma Stone is AMAZING!” Realizes that this person is not Emma Stone, and that although this dress would look great on Emma Stone, Emma Stone is not, presumably wearing it. Has to zip off Instagram in order to Google, “who is Madeline Brewer?,” reads that she was on Orange Is The New Black, spends several minutes trying to place her, thanks god for Google Images, which reminds her that she totally remembers that character after all. Has a ten minute interlude reflecting on the fact that she feels fine about not watching The Handmaid’s Tale right now, which Brewer is also in. Wonders why more people don’t wear Missoni to events, because it’s almost always fun and memorable. Pours nine more cups of coffee.
