In case you missed the source material, Between Two Ferns is a Funny or Die web series with the following synopsis on Wikipedia: “As the show’s title suggests, host Zach Galifianakis interviews celebrities while sitting between two potted ferns. The set intentionally resembles a low-budget amateur production for public-access television, with on-screen graphics containing deliberate comedic errors. For example, in a 2014 episode, Brad Pitt’s name is spelled “Bart Pit” and his film 12 Years a Slave — the winner of the 2013 Academy Award for Best Picture — entitled 12 Years a Salve.” The movie apparently posits that after the show appeared on Funny or Die, Zach became ridiculous to the industry, and has embarked upon a road trip to restore his good name via a series of celebrity interviews (cameos include Keanu Reeves, Paul Rudd, Jon Hamm, Hailee Steinfeld, Awkwafina, Chance the Rapper, Brie Larson, Peter Dinklage, David Letterman, and Bortlesblake Cousinsbrady).

I want it to be good, and then I want more than anything for Oscars night to roll around and for Zach Galifianakis and Jennifer Lopez to stand on stage together holding trophies for two movies no one saw coming. It won’t happen, but wouldn’t that be more interesting than usual? We could use good interesting right now.
