The Adam Project stars Ryan Reynolds, Jennifer Garner, Zoe Saldana, and Mark Ruffalo, and is about a guy who goes back in time to enlist the aid of his 12-year old self in confronting their father. Originally it was a Tom Cruise project, but then Netflix snapped it up and redeveloped it for Ryan Reynolds. But I don’t think it’s explicitly a comedy? Not that he can only do comedies, but you know. Thanks to Free Guy and Red Notice, my kids love a Ryan Reynolds joint and I am not sure whether this fulfills their idea of one. Interestingly, the final shooting script was written by Jonathan Tropper, he of This Is Where I Leave You and Kodachrome, the latter most known to me because the press tour for it yielded this epic, thoughtful Jason Sudeikis e-mail (well, and also for starring Forever Dreamboat Ed Harris, a.k.a. He Who Wears a Vest in Apollo 13 Like No One Else Can).

That was quite an information dump. We haven’t even gotten to how good Blake and Jennifer Garner look at the premiere. That’s why God invented slideshows.
