I don't always love the limbs onto which Elle Fanning crawls, but I do love her for trying. Because the hits are worth the misses. What a cool gown, and how neat that she manages to wear it while still looking like the lovely young girl she is,

I'm not sure about the shoes -- something about their satin shinyness screams David's Bridal to me. But otherwise, this is elegant and fun. Amy Adams is guilty of slipping into a rut of tedium -- boring shapes, half-hearted fit, forgettable aura. This is a party dress.
