The Governors Awards is the event at which the Academy hands out honorary Oscars, including — emotionally — to the recently departed Quincy Jones, alongside the Bond producers, casting director Juliet Turner, and writer Richard Curtis. Accordingly, the celebrity turnout is typically excellent, especially among those who hope they’re on the short list, or frankly also the long list, for nominations themselves. We’ll start out as we often do with the bright and sparkly outfits of the night, because it’s Monday and it’s always more fun to inject a little color first thing in the morning. And most of these are pretty fun, which is a double treat.
