Selena here was attending a party for her Only Murders in the Building co-star Steve Martin, who has a documentary coming out. Maybe that’s why she picked black; maybe it’s a tribute to all the murders in the building. But she looks like someone who’s going to an extremely posh funeral that’s really more of a cocktail party for people to perform sadness, because no one is really grieving, and they mostly just want to be seen and drink some free Champagne and maybe throw a coupe into someone’s face in the bathroom. Actually, this could be like the B-side to Big’s funeral on And Just Like That… Write Selena a webisode — except in a sense, everything is now a webisode — about a character who sat in the very back of that chilly white room full of rich people in tight dresses, and spent the whole time texting her friends about Miranda’s junk eulogy that Carrie wrote, and all the times John James Preston got smashed at the company Christmas parties, and it of course turns out that she’s Natasha’s personal assistant.
