The Duchess of Cornwall visited The Fair Close Centre in Newbury today; a place for older people to relax and socialise. The centre was originally opened by Queen Elizabeth The Queen Mother in 1967 and has supported senior citizens in Newbury and the surrounding area for over 50 years. The Duchess of Cornwall joined Commonwealth Big Lunch celebrations at a school in #London today. HRH met children taking part in different Commonwealth themed activities including baking bread and making bracelets. ‍ HRH is Patron of The Big Lunch, an initiative that encourages communities to have lunch together in a simple act of friendship and fun. Commonwealth Big Lunches are part of the official celebrations leading up to the Commonwealth Heads of Government Meeting in London next month. #CommonwealthBigLunch #Commonwealth

Her Majesty The Queen joined HRH The Duke of York, together with Officers and Warrant Officers, for an official photo at the parade to mark the appointment of The Duke as Colonel of the Grenadier Guards. Et nyt besøgscenter ved Nordeuropas største borgruin, Hammershus, blev i dag indviet af H.K.H. Kronprinsessen. Den gamle middelalderborg på Bornholms nordkyst er netop blevet restaureret, og ved dagens besøg fik Kronprinsessen en rundvisning.
