It’s so nice of the European royals to ease us back into the business week — and the new year — with all those tiaras. Plus: A Kate update from over the break, and very cute shenanigans from Princess Estelle.

In case you missed anything over the break:

I rounded up everything Kate and Meghan wore in 2019.

The British Royals — well, several of them, including two of three tiny Cambridges — did the traditional walk to church on Christas morning.

Elsewhere upon the internets:

Princess Martha Louise’s former husband, Ari Behn, recently died by suicide; his funeral was today, and of course all the Norwegian royals attended. (And some of the Swedish ones.) It’s extremely sad.

At Town & Country: Prince William Launches a New Environmental Prize, Declaring the 2020s a “Decade of Action.” Yes, let’s get this sorted.

Also at T&C, Anne and Chaz finished the year in VERY close competition for Who Did The Most Royal Engagements, a topic about which royal watchers traditionally argue every year.

Us Weekly reports that the Sussexes are in Canada and also that “sources” claim that the Cambridge kidlets love Archie and want to spend more time with him. (Which I’m sure is true enough and also pictures of that would probably be very useful PR for).

And, in social media:

We’ve got a late add here, and it’s very cute:

GEORGE’S TROUSERS! (Look, Kate DOES love her Black Watch plaid.)

ALSO in the category of OMG:

I’m dying. That baby’s hat!

Tartan!
