Robbie Williams is promoting A Better Man, a movie that’s semi-autobiographical — the “semi” part PRESUMABLY being in large part because Williams is not ACTUALLY a chimpanzee, and yet he is portrayed as one in the movie. He said it’s because he always feels less evolved than the people around him, which is why there are no OTHER chimps in the film. I am… super intrigued by whether this will be the world’s creepiest installment of Planet of the Apes, or actually effective and entertaining, but one thing is certain: While I do not know why he’s channeling a Wookiee elder here, he was correct not to come to this premiere in thematic simian garb. There IS a line that can be drawn, and he drew it.
