To be clear! I think it’s absolutely correct that her styling team is steering away from anything with the slightest hint of Midge Maisel, especially as that series is wrapping up and she probably wants remind people that she’s NOT actually living in the 1960s. Those shoes are my arch-nemesis (although they look pretty easy to walk in thanks to the platform), but this whole look feels sort of quasi-futuristic in an ’80s way — like a Robert Palmer girl perked up a little bit — and it’s fun on her.

If you need to see her without the Oscar Isaac there drawing focus, dressed as a man who is OBSESSED WITH GREY and looking as if he’s grown a mullet (it’s just a shadow!!!), that’s a service I provide:

It’s fun! And I also thought for a moment that she was wearing driving gloves with it. Which, while we’re here…should she be wearing driving gloves with this?
