The Color Purple did not get a Golden Globes nod as a film, though Fantasia scored one for her performance. Hopefully that means Blitz Bazawule, the director, will still attend. I have geared myself up for a January and February that are full of his outfits — he is never NOT a bright delight — and I don’t think I can come down gently from that mountain of hope.
Taraji will throw ALL the penalty flags if his wardrobe stops here. BE WARNED.
