They both look great; these looks feel like a nod to the costumes of The Gilded Age without being COSTUME-Y.

Meanwhile, I LOVE her but no. This was originally shown with matching patterned trousers, FYI. Skipping them was maybe the right idea, but perhaps with this look you just LEAN IN. I had this bedspread in junior high – like, perhaps quite literally.

I love her and the art deco vibe of this is great. Perhaps should the length be either a longer OR a little shorter?

I appreciate that the man who wears the This Character Might Get an Opium Addiction-style sunglasses has chosen to wear sunglasses to its premiere, too. (I'm sure this is intentional!)

Honestly, she's been looking VERY cool lately. This is awesome...

....and it's arguably better in motion.

LOVE the shoes and she's a goddess, so I do hate to say this but...pick a sleeve, Audra, you resplendent dream!

She is SO funny on The Gilded Age; her entire vibe is that of someone who just heard some really juicy gossip. This look is giving Brenda and Kelly at the Spring Fling but I think we've well-established that this is an iconic reference.

She is Aunt Ada and Agnes's cook on the show and thus is always lightly sweaty in a kitchen with her hair in a kerchief. (She also had a brief gambling addiction.) It must be fun for her to get to show up somewhere all glamourous and fab – she looks great!

Five stars to Mrs Fish! Those shoes are JUST RIGHT, the dress is adorable, the purse is great, and the fun fur IS, indeed, fun.

If she'd sheared off the sheer bits, we'd have a proper Revenge Dress, which would be appropriate given that her character is newly single after being very hard done by.

Honestly? Yes. This is cool. It slightly feels like a vision test, but in a cool way.

I LOVE this sweater. It's JW Anderson, if you have a spare $1500 for whimsical sweaters floating about.

She looks VERY cool in this. She works with stylist Edward Bowleg III – who doesn't style a ton of other celebs – and they're a great pairing. They've really been knocking it out of the park the last few months with her.

I don't know what's happening with that red string around her waist but regardless of how weird that is, she looks incredible in this.

This is very reasonable but I don't think some delicate jewelry would go awry.

UNEXPECTEDLY GROOVY from the Duke.

Nothing but the best for my president.

He's playing a new character – don't worry, he has one Tony nomination – and I am fascinated by these trousers. They're bootaloons, right? A bold choice! I don't care for this but I do like that someone is keeping it weird, so let's call it even.

This dress is so dreamy on her – she's also a new character and (of course) also has a Tony award – but she maybe needs a slightly stronger lip?

[series of enthusiastic, complimentary snaps]

I mean, obviously. Yes. It's maybe a little squashy up top, but all things considered: Ding dong!!!!!!

She's playing Fiona Summers, an Astor cousin who is not a real person, a new character who's described as "a free-spirit" and a "troublemaker," so that will be fun for everyone (except, presumably, Mrs. Astor). She looks fabulous in this.

This is fabulously period-referential.

She looks great in this – even though the cut is sort of funky – but mostly I'm transfixed by how shiny her hair is. It looks so good.

Just picture my brows slowly raising toward my hairline. This is a lot! I'd argue perhaps too much. (Although her head looks really cute.)

Sure, fine, whatever, no notes. (Well. Maybe it could use a tiny lapel pin?)

Gaff looks great! Mrs Gaff just went for it.

This is KOOKY and, honestly, I'm here for it. More men should consider both hats, and flowing garments.
