You probably know Olivia Rodrigo’s first single from her forthcoming album was “Vampire,” which probably accounts for why she’s wearing a t-shirt printed with a famous image of Angelina Jolie. Taken in 2003 by Martin Schoeller, it depicts Angie looking as if she has just feasted upon the blood of the righteous, and is VERY on-theme — as is the girly, preppy aesthetic in which she deployed it. This just ALL works. And also looks a bit like a a tennis outfit, which has me wishing a sports brand would take this same approach with its 2024 Australian Open kit. Imagine Carlos Alcaraz serving with a pop treatment of noted Aussie Nicole Kidman’s ICONIC photo celebrating her divorce from Scientology, um, I mean, Tom Cruise. Let’s DO THIS.
