As I think I’ve written before, I want a logistics piece from the people in charge of running ALL these Chanel dinners. You know they have stories! Figuring out who gets what outfit alone. What do you do if people get mad?! I will say, seeing folks in Chanel’s less formal looks here really does sell me on the label’s current iteration under Matthieu Blazy; I feel like people look, overall, markedly better — and also more normal, in a good way; like rich people but not ones who’ve totally lost their minds — than they have at this event in years past. Probably good news for Chanel’s bottom line.
