We’ve got some history in this post, along with spangly and pleasant outfits. Jennifer Hudson achieved the EGOT, grabbing what is very possibly just the first of several Tonys as one of the producers of A Strange Loop. (She’d already won a daytime Emmy for EPing what the NYT calls an “interactive animated short,” she has two Grammys, and obviously her Oscar for Dreamgirls.) And Six’s composer-lyricist Toby Marlow is the first openly nonbinary person to win a Tony, taking home the award for Best Original Score along with partner Lucy Moss. Mazel tov, everyone!
