I cannot believe this show has run 25 seasons! I mean, I can: Law and Order: SVU feels as if it has ALWAYS been on television. I’m an L&O fan, generally speaking, but tend to prefer the original flavor; as much as I love Meloni and Hargitay, SVU’s constant onslaught of Particularly Heinous Crimes stresses me out. Sometimes you just want a good Noted Paparazzo Found Murdered; Guy Clearly Meant to Be Alec Baldwin Suspected. Law and Order Classic also served me more Rich Lady Kills Husband, which is also one of my fave Murder Show tropes. But I have watched PLENTY of SVU in my day and you know who deserves to look so glam and fantastic here? MARISKA HARGITAY, hard-working lady who has had to make a LOT of Concerned Faces over the last 25 seasons, and who got a famous cat named after her for her efforts. (Also an Emmy.)
