Vogue reports that Nicolas Ghesquiere asked his team for their favorite movies and scenes involving trains, because he wanted to use the idea of a station’s platform for his collection — the notion of people passing through, not connected, maybe from different times and styles. It might be a thinly veiled excuse for, “I had a bunch of ideas and they didn’t all go together, so… we’re at a train station!!!!” But I’ve heard worse.
