I cannot even pretend to get it. Loewe feels like it’s noticing all the attention Schiaparelli gets for being wacky, but without understanding that Daniel Roseberry’s surrealism is built with and around real grace and precision. If we’re talking art here, Schiap is The Louvre and Loewe is a “gallery” that’s really just a shipping container in Newark somewhere.
