I just went to Kimiko’s IMDb page to double-check that she’s a voice in the new animated Spider Man movie (she is), and holy COW, she’s done a lot of work in the last year or two. I first saw her in Orange Is The New Black, but since that, she’s done lots of other animation and is on a YouTube show and a TBS show. She was also in the original Broadway cast of Waitress two years ago. That is a very productive career boom. Maybe because it’s the holidays, or maybe I’m just aging into being a total softie (unlikely), but I love to imagine how it must feel for an actor to wake up one day and realize they are more than supporting themselves in that weird rejection-filled field. Keep saving all those shekels, kid, and someday you can have Christian finish making that skirt for you.
