Katie Holmes’s Tom Cruise-era bob is one of my favorite haircuts of all time. I can understand why she might not want to return to the headsuit she wore throughout what I assume was the weirdest time of her life, though, and, frankly, this super-short cut is pretty fetching on her, too. I’m jealous of anyone whose head gives them such freedom. If I tried to cut off this much hair, I’d look like a basketball that rolled through a dust bin. So CONGRATS ON YOUR FACE, KATIE, is what I guess I’m trying to say.
And this dress is honestly quite charming (it’s Polo Ralph Lauren, and you can really tell on the Saks website that it’s VERY autumnal), although I really wish she’d decided to wear shoes that picked up the burgundy color rather than the stone shade. (Seriously, though — I’m stunned her stylist didn’t put her in these velvet Pradas everyone is wearing. Next time.)
