Jean Smart told E! that when she was trying to find a dress, she recalled this Christian Siriano that he’d designed for her in 2021, and said, more or less, “Wait, that is GREAT, why didn’t I wear this the first time?!” (My guess: Her husband died earlier that year, somewhat unexpectedly I think, and so her emotions may have pushed her toward wearing black.) This IS better than that Ralph Lauren, so I’m glad Christian got his moment — and how smart of them all not to waste a great gown.
We had a fair few people in white this year. Janelle James, so hilarious on Abbott Elementary, is one of the surprising number of celebs who were not photographed on the red carpet. (Logistics, traffic, avoidance, I know not.) So all I have right this second is this shot of her on her own Instagram:

I love the slim strand of bling that makes up her dress strap. The rest looked pretty foxy from what I saw on the show. I am shaking my fist at the sky over whatever happened to deny us a timely full look.
