It might sound wacky to dedicate your show to your cat, but I find it refreshingly honest. We don’t need every designer to be like, “I was greatly affected by my study of Gerhardt Richter’s Capitalistic Realism, and how one might view them through the lens of the works of Isaac Asimov.” Sometimes you’re sad because your pet died and you want to pour your feelings into pretty things. I’m so pleased to see Jason Wu back again; he told various outlets that the last year was a boom after a few tough ones, and that’s wonderful. Jinxy would be so pleased.
