Per Vogue, this collection is all in black as a way of prioritizing construction and texture and all the minutiae — which, in fact, is something the Times Up Golden Globes did to pretty good effect. But that was with a wide buffet of different designers, and thus, divergent aesthetic approaches. Does it work as well when it’s all coming from one person, and one vision board, down one runway?
