The latest LiLo outfit is a custom Ludovic de Saint Sernin that’s meant to echo what she wears at the end of Freaky Friday, when she jams at her mother’s wedding. It’s actually a pretty good callback. Here’s what I’m liking about Andrew Mukamal’s work on this: He’s establishing clear inspirations and visual links, but everything works on its own merits. You don’t HAVE to know what this is referencing to think it’s a foxy dress, but if you do, it adds some neat layers. Now if only Lindsay would add some neat layers… TO HER HAIR, AM I RIGHT??? Except she doesn’t need layers; she needs a trim at minimum and ideally a full-on bob. I just couldn’t resist that transition.
