I don’t know why the premieres sometimes happen before the photocalls, but whatever, I suppose it doesn’t matter in what order we get the outfits. This does make me wish Elizabeth had popped on her Isabel Marant for the premiere, though. It’s cute, it’s dressy, and it’s not a window to her thong. Kristen Stewart looks exactly as you might expect, in another Thom Browne ensemble. She always seems a lot looser when she’s in the spiffy-grungey hybrid outfits that she typically favors by day. The leather frock on Naomi Scott loses me with the stitching, and Ella Balinska — whose Prada took home the gold at the UK premiere — has dug up some outdated denim mega-culottes the likes of which I once found at Value Village in high school when I was looking for an ’80s Halloween costume. She looks half-Baywatch, half-Square Pegs. It’s possible the bodysuit is a very light nod to the famous poster of original Angel Farrah Fawcett…? She should probably accidentally leave the pants in her hotel room, though.
