Cynthia is the reigning Tony winner for Best Actress, thanks to The Color Purple, and won a Grammy last night for the show’s original cast recording. I feel good about her lifetime EGOT chances — especially as she just got cast as the lead in a Harriet Tubman biopic. I hope it dominates the world and then she scoops up a quick Emmy for a guest spot on, say, Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt (does Titus have a big extended family we never met?), so she can get to EGOT the fastest. Although the lady does run marathons, so she’s probably not in a hurry.
