Amandla, a Star Wars fan who’s in The Acolyte, has been wearing stuff that feels gently coded to that cinematic universe. This is no exception; it’s not wildly on-the-nose, but you could imagine a human OR an alien slinking through one of the cantinas in it. There’s shimmer and sleekness and, yeah, some sheerness — or is it just the illusion thereof? It seems to do a great job of leaning into the perceived slinky appeal of transparency without ACTUALLY revealing everything. I THINK? I guess that fact that I’m not super sure feels like a magic trick in and of itself.
