Cynthia Erivo is doing a one-woman Dracula on-stage in London — in the vein of Sarah Snook’s Picture of Dorian Gray, and indeed from the same director. Reviews seem to be that she is great but that the play and the execution of the conceit itself doesn’t really work, but all credit to her for attempting that gauntlet. Sidebar: I was JUST thinking the other day that Florence Pugh had been MIA for a while, and now here she is, attending Dracula. Did I manifest this? No offense to Florence, whom I find delightful, but I need to know if I have that kind of power so I can use it better (and I think she’d agree).
