The Creative Arts Emmys took place across two nights this past weekend. Connor Storrie got furloughed from the Heated Rivalry set to attend his first Emmys as a nominee — for Guest Actor in a Comedy, as the SNL host — and while he lost the award (to the late Rob Reiner, sniffle), he clearly won the genetic lottery because that is his mother and LOOK at her. Wow. This photo makes me so happy.
Both of them are in Saint Laurent. I assume he doesn’t have a whole lot of choice, because he’s in bed with them, so he probably has to wear whatever they’re shilling. Ant right now that is ’80s shoulders, pants that are a hair too long (I thought they were cuffed at first, but no, they’re just creased from sitting on his feet), and a rise that would tempt the woeful trouser taste of Ben Platt. In other words, I don’t think the clothes do Connor a lot of favors, but luckily for Saint Laurent, he’s doing THEM every favor he can. His smile lights up the whole thing. If you were uncertain about the buzz cut, worry no more; Ilya is going to be just as delicious in season two.
