Yes, the above is not Rio; this is a photocall from London that I missed, in which Emma is wearing custom Miu Miu that they punked up with some badass boots, and Ryan Reynolds is clutching a dog dressed as Deadpool — sidebar: Does it feel like too many movies now try to involve a pet in its pressers? — and wearing a half-shirt, half-cardigan that looks like he designed it on Animal Crossing. Also, Hugh Jackman is there.
But the nut of the post is what Emma wore when they did in fact go to Rio yesterday: a feathered Dilara Findikoglu.

The first picture isn’t the best of them; definitely flick through the carousel. Emma has been going very dark for these events, including another one in Rio, so it’s fun that they swanned out to this one in an ACTUAL swan-esque frock. It’s dramatic and beautiful and a little racy — I can’t tell if the lacing in the back is MEANT to gap the way it does, or if that’s an intentional peek? — and very artistic, in a way they pull off very well. I actually think Rami Malek could fit nicely into this whole avant-garde vibe, if the two of them ever began walking red carpets together. No pressure, y’all, but… maybe a little pressure.
