Well, I guess it’s not entirely a fake shoe line, because Sarah Jessica Parker did at one point manufacture shoes created for the show under the name Duchessa Gardini but really via her SJP Collection. Her reasoning for this was sort of bananas; one argument was that there is no SJP Collection in the world of Carrie Bradshaw, but like… in NO scene involving these shoes did Carrie walk around announcing the designer of said shoes. So who cares?!? She has produced another pair that she should ALSO sell, involving polka dots. Plus: Charlotte, Seema, and LTW.
